It looks like the Montage T has a transverse mounted engine (like a front wheel drive setup), I was wondering if anyone is running a longitudinal engine layout. It looks like there might be room. Would like to see a photo of the engine bay if you are running that set up.
Thanks.

That is from when I had the car set up with a 500 Caddy and turbo 425 trans. It was terrifying to drive, even without the nitrous hooked up :)

Not quite the layout I was looking for. I'm looking for an engine and transaxle inline.

Here are some pictures I have found. Not sure what is in these but they can give you a bit of an idea.

Looks like these fit in the normal wheel well. I'm planning to use a Land Rover 3500 V8 mated to a Porsche 986 transaxle (cabe shift).

Just plan on moving your firewall forward or building a nose cover between the seat area, a V8 is a tough squeeze, depending on your tansaxle choice. You must plan on building a custom chassis....

Custom chassis is the plan, already working on it. But only the basics until I get an engine and transaxle mated to see the space requirement. The Land Rover 3500 (basically the same as a Buick 215 cu in) is shorter than a Small Block Chevy.

It fits but its tight, it will poke thru the fire wall a little depending on combo
