To all,

Please assist me in the development of a 1:43 scale Manta Mirage model.

I am in need of a blueprint for the body as a starting point for the CAD/CAM. Once complete will 3d print a body that will become the base for kit.

Thanx...mike

Here is a sample of one of my productions.

Can anyone comment on the similarities between the M8 and the Manta?...besides the canopy.

There are a lot less similarities than you may think. In my opinion, the Manta is as representative of the Lola T163 as it is a McLaren. The tail and rear vents resemble the M8F with some additional slots, the pod covers are more like the M8B, as well as the immediate area around the nose's radiator opening at the front. Fenders (front and rear), doors, and side scoop better represent the Lola. So it's mixed bag of multiple CanAm cars of that era. I have not found any car in which the roof and engine side cover/vent resemble the Manta (maybe the 512M without the radiators?).
