Coyote Project

One day I will drive my very own Coyote!
I started out using a friends Manta Montage. I met Tom on the Manta Cars site when he invited me to look at his Montage and I showed up in a KITT(Knight Rider) replica that I built. He wanted his car to look like the Coyote/M6GT. I would do all the fiberglass work and make molds of the parts so that I can make my own body. So far my dad and I have finished modifying and made molds for the nose, clamshell, doors and passenger compartment. We still have to modify the side pods to look like the Coyote then make the molds for that.
Every day brings me one step closer to my dream!

Far from done but the Coyote is really beginning to take shape!
-
Wow that's great. Do you have a frame?
-
Looks like a Delorean in the pic behind the front nose. Is there a story on that?
-
I do not have a frame yet. Not too hard to find a VW or a Fiero for a donor(looks like I will need to build on an existing VIN platform) and then get some tubing and weld my own. The Delorean was in an accident and we repaired the fiberglass tub.

We have finalized the shape of the lower pod section and here it is...The Penko Coyote!!!
It still needs some finishing before we make the mold but when we do, and when we make the first piece out of the new mold, we will put a body together with a cut T roof and cut doors just like the show car!
Enjoy the pictures!

Update: We finally got the right size tires and wheels on the car only to find out our turning radius was almost nothing(pics 1&2). We removed some material and now the tires have more than enough clearance for full turns(pics 3&4). A little more finishing work and we will be ready to start making the mold for the lower pod section.
