It looks to me as if it is more likely a Maurader McLaren Mk V. The GT MK II is a Chevron replica- a pretty small car with big side vents. Or maybe it's something else entirely. :)

The black one looks different to me. Its windshield is definitely not the same as the one on the right but even that one is not a "stock" Montage. Interesting.

Thanks for posting these. Where were these photos taken? What is that middle car?
I ran my Black Mirage at Bonneville and we had a great time- the car ran flawlessly and I got a timing slip for 157.458 mph.
In the class I entered I couldn’t exceed 159.999 or I’d be ...
I got tired of replacing the gas struts on my Black Mirage and finally hit upon a very simple method of holding the upper doors in a raised position. These are coil springs intended for marine...
That is a very fast-opening way to raise the headlights. Your video explains it very well. Nice looking assistant, too.
On MANTA 2, the manual pop-up mechanism had been removed because the Mustang...
I've been considering something to hold my driver's side gull-wing door in the raised position after I manually push it open. I have a support rod that can hold it open but I can't raise it from...
Dave,
The steering effort depends on how fast you're going, among other things. MANTA 2 had BFG T/A 245 tires on the front and its steering felt "normal" at highway speeds but much heavier when it...
Dave, I made my black Mirage doors into gull-wings so my larches are not exactly the same but you might get some ideas from these pictures. I installed an inside door handle from Southco.
...
Dave, here is a picture of my chassis. As you can see, it is much different but it may give you some ideas that are useful.

Those were the original fiberglass seat shells with vinyl upholstery supplied by Manta Cars, Dave.
My YouTube video about restoring Manta 2 might be helpful, too.
That panel across the underside of your chassis will improve its torsional stiffness, provided that it is securely riveted or welded in place.

A 15 amp slo-blo fuse should be a good choice for your ignition fuse.

My original YouTube build diary had no narration, only some text titles, so it wasn't very helpful in telling the story of the details of my build so I re- edited it completely. Now it has a...
That was a real score on the Rolls!
That could be, Mike, I don't remember. Do you need an almost complete Mirage body?

I made another small improvement to my shift linkage. The end of the shift rod has a 1/2" 6061-T6 right angle piece that functions to rotate the transaxle shaft and push it in & out. I used an...
I have put more work into my shift linkage than I should have but I want to get it right. I replaced the mild steel tubing that I used for my shift rod with ground & polished Rockwell 60C and it...

I originally planned to use a Crower mechanical fuel injection system on my black Mirage (The Werewolf) but finally decided that its learning curve was too steep, at least for now. Instead I bought a...
The Manta Cars optional headers featured a built-in "Cherry Bomb" muffler but it was still fairly loud.
My two pairs different, one was chrome plated and the ones on MANTA II were painted black-...
Since this topic is "Can-Am" I'll post a few pictures of the car that I crewed for beck in '72 & '73. It was owned & driven by Bob Peckham, a graduate engineer who lived here in Tucson. My friend...
David, you might consider adding a "Build Diary" which allows people to post text and photos of their project as it progresses.
No, since Manta Cars produced only the chassis & bodies without an engine, they were not considered to be a manufacturer. Therefore they did not need to crash test their vehicles, file paperwork,...
