Those are awesome Neil! I notice the 4 bolt front rims and from the pics the body components seem to line up pretty well. To me the Manta was really ahead of it's time from a visual perspective.

Thanks, Sully.
Yes it had 4- bolt Jongbloed wheels then. MANTA2 was originally built with a VW trailing arm front suspension but they had started to covert it to a Mustang II when the company went out of business. When I bought the car (in pieces) I finished the conversion. It now has 5-bolt hubs.
If you look at the "Manta Detail At Sears Point" group of photos you can see that the Mirage started off with much smoother fiberglass than the ones produced later. The fiberglass was thicker as well.

Thanks for posting these. Where were these photos taken? What is that middle car?

Hi Neil, I am honestly not certain. I received these in 1991 if I recall correctly. I found an ad (I think in KitCar magazine) contacted them and inquired about buying one. These are the photos they mailed me, needless to say it was out of my budget.
The middle car I always assumed was a Montage but it does look kind of different, maybe just the angle and being black.
The black one looks different to me. Its windshield is definitely not the same as the one on the right but even that one is not a "stock" Montage. Interesting.
