    Renault Gearbox For Manta Cars

    Andy what model Renault are you using a gearbox from?

    Its a renault 21 Turbo which uses the UN1 gearbox.

    I have already developed a bellhousing to mate it to the Chevy engine.

    I don't think these gearboxes are readily available in the States.

    I think you might be right. We build GT40 replicas and most US customers buy the gearbox from us.

    Thanks. I didn't put it together until the mention of the GT40 stuff. I had investigated the Tornado kit as "the one" until I decided to do the current project.

    I was waiting for somebody to work it out.

    The M6GT is a personal project at the moment but so was the Carbon Fibre GT40 Monocoque chassis and look what happened there.

    The M6GT is a lot easier to manufacture and a lot of the parts needed to complete the car are the same as the GT40.

    We already have a rough parts list.
