    That is a nice Mirage. Jongbloed wheels, too.

    If you want to learn more about the Porsche 917 (or Ford GT40), read the book "Racing In The Rain" written by my friend John Horsman. Its first hard cover edition is sold out but it was re-issued in paperback edition not too long ago. It also covers the advanced development of the GT40 which he named the "Mirage".

    Since this topic is "Can-Am" I'll post a few pictures of the car that I crewed for beck in '72 & '73. It was owned & driven by Bob Peckham, a graduate engineer who lived here in Tucson. My friend Dave Eggleston and I helped prepare the car and went to races at Riverside and Laguna Seca. That was the "Golden Age" of Can-Am racing, huge crowds, fast cars, and lots of beautiful girls.
