Dan, what is your ground clearance from the bottom of the frame?
Manta Mirage
Ground to frame side rail behind front tire is 4.75".
Ground to frame side rail ahead of rear tire is 5.5".
Bottom of the leading edge of the nose of the car is 5" off the ground.
Lowest point is probably the air dam I have back between the front tires at about 3" (but it is far enough back it should miss most stuff unless I try to straddle roadkill).
2008 Corvette (I measured ours)
Ground to frame side rail behind front tire (at jack point) 5".
Ground to frame side rail ahead of rear tire (at jack point) 5.5"
The Corvette side sills wrap under the car and sit .25-.5" below the frame jack points.
Corvette front spoiler leading edge is 3" off the ground and it is just behind the nose of the car.
Both cars will scrape the nose/spoiler on some driveways if I don't approach at an angle.
Hope this helps.
Dan
Thx Dan. I appreciate you taking the time to measure up things. I figured your Manta was a bit lower but what you have for clearance is great so you can drive it on the street. Thx for the measurements of the vette too. Awesome.
Any chance you can measure on the vette how high the bottom back of the rear suspension cradle is off the ground? I'm going to be running C5/6 rear suspension setup on mine and that measurement will be a good starting point for mocking up rear suspension.
You're going to have a great summer with those two cars to A/B performance wise.
