Just purchased this Mirage from longtime Yahoo group member Robert S and looking forward to this new build having been a Mirage admirer for a very long time! Finally found the one for me :-)

The plan-
MantaCars C-5 subframe
C-5 rear suspension
Change out stock Mustang II front suspension for a Mustang II tubular suspension
Prius electric power steering assist
Swap out Corvair transaxle for my Porsche 987 Boxster 6sp
Chop rear from a 5 louver to a 3
Chop entire top for open car (like Terry Oxandale's car)
Replace glass cockpit pan with alum skin/boxing

Last image is my current track car, 1973 Porsche 914 Sheridan Standard Widebody with a sbc

Have you found anything yet as far as C5 rear suspension mounting like a rear clip or are you thinking dobbertin's setup?

Pretty sure I'm gonna use David's C-5 Subframe in conjunction with my Porsche 987 6spd transaxle.
